Chenango Valley Track Star Turner Inks LOIPosted: Updated:
Binghamton, N.Y. - Chenango Valley Senior Mallorie Turner signed her National Letter of Intent on Tuesday for Track & Field at Binghamton University. Turner holds three Chenango Valley school records and continues to walk in her father's foot steps, Kyle Turner who holds the school record for the outdoor 110 hurdles.
Mallorie's Track & Field Accomplishments:
- Holds CV girls outdoor track school record for the Long Jump (17'5')
- Holds CV girls outdoor track school record for the Triple Jump (36' 11 1/2')
- Holds CV girls indoor track school record for the Triple Jump (34'8')
- 2018 Varsity Track STAC Champion in the Triple Jump
Mallorie still has one more winter and spring track season until she heads of to Binghamton University in the Fall of 2019. The biggest value that she learned at Chenango Valley that she'll bring with her to BU, is hard work.
"My coaches have really taught me how to really work hard throughout the seasons and have showed me what it's like to be apart of a team and to commit" said Mallorie.
"I'm really thankful that it's so close and I can be with my family when I need to be. I just love the atmosphere of the campus. I also love the team, when I had my official visit they were all so welcoming and so much fun to be around."
