Bearcats Basketball Falls To Northwestern In Nationally Televised GamePosted: Updated:
Evanston, Il. - Binghamton University traveled to Evanston, Illinois to take on undefeated Northwestern in a primetime, nationally televised broadcast on ESPN News. Pardon the Interruption was taped live in Welsh-Ryan Arena prior to the Friday's game, with Northwestern alum Michael Wilbon and Binghamton alum Tony Kornheiser on the call later in the game.
The first half was dismal for the Bearcats, as Northwestern held them to just 19 points on 21.9 percent shooting. The Bearcats were able to outscore the Wildcats in the second half though, but ultimately fell to the Big 10 opponent 82-54. The Bearcats were able to cut their largest deficit of 41 points to the final 28 points.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Monday night against cross state rival Colgate.
