State Providing Additional $13M For Flood Recovery

New York State will be providing an additional $13 million in flood relief for those impacted by the August 13-15 storms. 

Flood victims living in Broome, Chenango, and Delaware counties are eligible. 

 "This summer, families in my district were forced to endure unspeakable damage to their homes and businesses as flash flooding devastated much of the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes. It is our duty to help those who are working to pick up the pieces,” said Assemblyman Clifford W. Crouch (R-Bainbridge).

The funds will offer grants of up to $50,000 to residents affected by the floods to help with rebuilding and rehabilitating their homes. insurance costs, and whatever else other available aid do not cover. These costs can include repairing foundations, heating systems, electrical systems, wells and septic systems, insulation and flooring.
