ALFRED, N.Y. -

Preparations are set for New York State Trooper Nicholas Clark's funeral this weekend.

On Saturday, hundreds from across the country attended calling hours for the fallen officer, which was held in the James A. McLane Physical Education Center at Alfred University. His funeral service will be held in the same location at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Trooper Clark, 29, from Troupsburg, Steuben County, was shot and killed Monday after responding to a report of a suicidal man in the Town of Erwin.

An autopsy report released Friday showed Trooper Clark died as a result of being struck with buckshot from a 12-gauge shotgun. The autopsy was conducted at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton.

State police are continuing their investigation into Trooper Clark's death.
