Akshar Resolution Honors "Super Cooper" Legacy

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, N.Y. -

The family of Cooper Busch was in Albany Tuesday as State Sen. Fred Akshar honored the life and legacy of a boy who the community would come to know as "Super Cooper."

The four-year-old known died on May 6 after battling nearly half his life to leukemia.

After reading a poem from Busch's prayer card, Akshar described Cooper as having an "infectious" smile with a "resounding laugh and spirit that touched the souls of many people."

While talking about boy's courage and the tremendous support the entire Busch family received from the community, Akshar thanked Cooper for helping to remind him of what's important.
