Posted: Updated:
NORWICH, N.Y. -

The two men accused of murdering an 11-year-old Town of Morris girl are scheduled to sit trial in November, according the Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride.

James Brower and Tobias Rundstrom-Wooding are accused of working together to cause the death of Jacelyn O'Connor. An autopsy report revealed she had been raped and smothered to death on July 30, 2017 inside Brower's County Route 33 home in Norwich. Prosecutors say O'Connor was on an "extended stay" at the home and was the sister of Brower's children.

Police say the men waited 15 minutes before calling police. Both are charged with tampering with evidence and making false statements. Prosecutors believe Rundstrom-Wooding was the one who carried out the killing, he's charged with first and second degree murder, rape, and possession of a sexual performance of a child among other charges.
