BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

UPDATE: The boa has been found in owner  Brian Kaminsky 's apartment.

The Broome County Humane Society posted on Facebook Tuesday afternoon, urging residents to be on alert for a missing boa constrictor.

They said the red tail boa constrictor escaped from her enclosure a few days ago. The post said she was last spotted in the Binghamton West Side area, she is roughly 6.5' and has a pink or rainbow tint.

If you have information on her location or have spotted her you can contact Brian by email at kaminsky6282@gmail.com or by phone at (607) 222-6282. Fox 40 reached out to the Humane Society and they said she is very friendly and also very scared, so please keep an eye out.

The Broome County Office of Emergency Services released a statement that the NYSDEC is aware and is investigating the case. The DEC said adult humans are not in danger, but residents should be cautious with pets and children. You can also contact Emergency Services if you see the boa constrictor at (607) 778-1911.

Since the escape, they said they have made more adjustments to prevent this from happening in the future.
