Posted: Updated:

For some high school baseball teams their season has come to an end, but for teams like Union-Endicott and Susquehanna Valley, they now get ready for the post-season.

Today the Union-Endicott Tigers hosted the Sabers of Susquehanna Valley high-school as they both attempted to end their regular season on a positive note.

Sabers led 4-2 in the 3rd but Union-Endicott 's bats got hot in the bottom of the 5th knocking in 5 runs.

Eight pitchers combined to take the mound for the Tigers and Sabers. It was Tigers closer Hammond who threw five K's and only let up one run and one hit, shutting the door on Susquehanna Valley in the bottom of the 7th.

The Tigers defeated Susquehanna Valley 9-7 and now get ready to take on the Vestal Golden Bears for the Class A Title in a three-game series, starting on Monday, May 21st.

The Sabers will look to defeat Windsor in Class B Sectionals on Monday, May 21st at 4:30 p.m.
