Easter Shooting Suspect Extradited Back To BroomePosted: Updated:
The homicide suspect, accused of fatally shooting Erika T. Smith Cunningham, 46, on Easter Sunday in Johnson City, has been extradited back to Broome County from Georgia.
According to Broome County Jail Records, Corey Robinson, 29, was booked into the correctional facility Friday night.
Police arrested Robinson in a hotel in Marietta, Georgia five days after the Easter Sunday morning shooting at 92 Crocker Avenue.
According to investigators, Robinson left the party at Crocker Ave after a physical altercation with the male victim and retrieved a shotgun. After returning to the residence, Robinson opened fire on the front door and window striking the victims, then fled the scene.
Johnson City Police Chief Brent Dodge said Smith was already dead when patrol officers arrived at the scene at 6:30 a.m. Easter Sunday morning.
Robinson is facing the charge of second-degree murder.
