Two Arrested for Drug Possession in Town of Union

A traffic stop leads to drug arrests in the Town of Union on Wednesday. The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force arrested Daontay A. Stephenson and Marissa J. Rogers on multiple drug charges after stopping a vehicle on Route 17 by Exit 70. 

Investigators found 32 grams of crack cocaine, seven grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana during the traffic stop and after obtaining a search warrant at a residence at 101 Hooper Road.

Stephenson, 27, was charged with resisting arrest, five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of using drug paraphernalia. He had two outstanding warrants for possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny and is being held without bail at Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility.

Rogers, 31, was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and released to appear in Union County court on a later date.
