Tri-Cities Opera Unveils 2018-2019 Season

BINGHAMTON, NY -

Tri-Cities Opera unveiled its 2018-2019 season Wednesday morning with four productions running from October to April.

The opera, heading into its 70th year, revealed what’s in store during a unique press conference where an excerpt from one of it’s October productions, Flower Duet from Madama Butterfly, was sung by Stacey Geyer and Tascha Anderson.

Madama Butterfly comes to the Forum Theatre on Sunday, October 14th, with a cast all making their role debuts. The opera will be sung in Italian with English supertitles.

Suor Angelica will be at the Trinity Church on Main Street in Binghamton on Friday, November 9th, Sunday, November 11th, Friday, November 16th, and Sunday, November 18th.

The one-act opera, Three Decembers, will premiere at the Tri-Cities Opera Center on Friday, February 22, 2019, Friday, March 1, 2019, and Sunday, March 3, 2019.

Closing out the season, H.M.S. Pinafore comes to the Forum Theatre on Sunday, April 28, 2019.

The opera was founded in 1949 and is thrilled to celebrate their 70th birthday with a packed season.
