Chenango County Man Arrested for Terroristic Threat on SnapchatPosted: Updated:
The Cortland County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Chenango County man for making a terroristic threat on his Snapchat account.
The Sheriff's Office became aware of photos and videos of a threat towards Cortland High School on Friday.
An investigation led police to the suspect's home in the Town of Plymouth, where police executed a search warrant.
Jensen Schack, 19, was arrested without incident. Schack graduated from Cortland High School in 2016.
Upon search of his residence, police found an AR style semi-automatic rifle with ammunition. The rifle was seized along with the ammunition.
Schack was charged with Making a Terroristic Threat and was arraigned Saturday in the City of Cortland Court.
He was remanded to the Cortland County Correctional Facility on $100,000 bail or $100,000 bond. He is due back in court on Monday at 10 a.m.
The Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate and say additional charges are possible.
The Cortland City School District was notified of the threat immediately.
