A pair was arrested Tuesday in Port Crane for a open warrant and hindering prosecution.
The Broome County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division has arrested Catherine Boyea-Kaminsky, 22 year old female of Port Crane New York and Derek Greene, 23 year old male of Binghamton New York. Boyea-Kaminsky was wanted by the Broome County Sheriff’s Office on a Broome County Court Warrant, charging her with Violation of Probation for Attempted Robbery in the 2nd Degree and has been eluding capture since mid-September 2016.
The Broome County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division received recent information indicating Boyea-Kaminsky was staying at an apartment on Thorp Street in the City of Binghamton. The Warrant Division made contact with Greene at the apartment at which time he allegedly attempted to hide Boyea-Kaminsky behind a couch inside the residence. Boyea-Kaminsky was arrested without incident when located and transported to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility where she is being held on the Broome County Court Warrant.
According to police Greene rendered aid to Boyea-Kaminsky by attempting to hide her and telling officers she was not at the apartment. Greene was charged with one (1) count of Hindering Prosecution in the 2nd degree, a Class E Felony, and is scheduled to appear in the City of Binghamton Court on a later date.
