Town of Union Man Charged with Attempted Murder after Alleged Stabbing

A Town of Union man has been arrested for attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a victim in the chest several times.

Alex D. Crotsley, 20, was arrested Sunday morning after for the felony of attempted murder 2nd degree. According to police, during a verbal dispute with an occupant of his home, Crotsley stabbed the victim in the chest several times with a knife causing injuries.

New York State Police responded to a Broome County 911 report of a physical dispute in progress at 312 West Wendell Street in the Town of Union.

He was arraigned in the Town of Union court and remanded to the Broome County jail without bail. His next court date is pending.  

The adult victim was transported to Wilson Hospital where he is being treated for several non-life threatening stab wounds.

This investigation is continuing.
