BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

A candlelight vigil was held at the Peacemaker Stage on Court Street Tuesday. The Binghamton Pride Coalition put on the event, which began with testimonies from the mayor, leaders of the coalition and even a past resident of Orlando, Florida.

One community member says he is here in support of his friends and family in the LGBTQ community.

The event proceeded with the vigil and the release of balloons to commemorate those who lost their lives. To finish it off, everyone began in song, showing their love and sympathy for those lost in this tragic event.
