Two Arrested in Binghamton for Intent to Sell Heroin, Possession, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child

An investigation into Broome County heroin sales led to two arrests and over 11 grams of heroin being seized in Binghamton on Friday.

A search warrant at 16 Tompkins Street in the City of Binghamton was executed by the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), and Special Operations Response Team (SORT) with assistance from the Troop “C” Uniform Force, Binghamton PD, Vestal PD and D.E.A.

During the search, Investigator’s seized one bag containing approximately 11 grams of heroin, another 46 individual packets containing heroin and a cell phone.

Jermane R. Hodge, 31 of 16 Tompkins St., Binghamton, was charged with Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree (Intent to sell), Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 3 counts of Misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Antoinette M. Gueits, age 30 of 16 Tompkins St., Binghamton, was charged with Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree (heroin), and 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The Endangering Welfare of a Child charges were a result of Antoinette M. Gueits 3 children, ages 10, 6, and 1 being in the home. The children were turned over to a family friend at the time of the search warrant.

Both defendants were arraigned in the City of Binghamton Court. Jermane R. Hodge was remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail. Antoinette M. Gueits was ROR.
