Broome County residents will now have a high-tech way to cast their votes this November.
Following The Help America Vote Act, enacted to reform the nation's voting process, Broome County has replaced all their lever machines with electronic image cast machines.
Board of Elections employees have begun their demonstration tour educating people on how to use the new machines.
"I think that it's a lot easier than people think it is, they hear electronic voting and they think they have to have computer skills, and all you have to do is color in a square," said Karen Davis, a Election Data Specialist.
More demonstrations will take place Wednesday in Barker, Thursday in Chenago and Sunday in Endwell.
