Binghamton Vendors to Partake in NY State Fair

There will be plenty of Binghamton flavor at this year's New York State Fair. About 30,000 to 40,000 people from Binghamton.

And the Southern Tier are expected to make their way to Syracuse in late August, and about 50 of the 600 vendors at the fair will come from Binghamton. There will also be some small food vendors among the 84 who will take part in the taste of New York Tent at the fair.

"We have 70 competitions for which we get 40,000 entries, literally a few thousand of those come from the Southern Tier area, whether it's for the fine-arts competition, the best-baking competition, or livestock competition," said Troy Waffner, Acting Director of the New York State Fair.

The 168th New York State Fair is at the fairgrounds in Syracuse from August 21st through September 1st.
