Revved Engines for Vietnam Veterans
7/26/2014 (Updated 10:16:00 PM)A group of Vietnam veterans revved up their engines and spent the day at multiple ceremonies recognizing their service to the country.
About 150 Vietnam Veterans participated in a memorial motorcycle ride on the New York State Vietnam Memorial Highway. The event began at Owego Free Academy and ended at the American Legion in Hannibal. Those who attended the event say honoring veterans is something that makes them feel prideful about their country.
Bill Chandler, President of Vietnam Veterans chapter 480 said, "The feeling you get when you see the men out there all in their uniforms, it's just very touching and it's a very nice, rewarding day for everybody".
The veterans made a couple special stops on their 98 mile ride to visit the hometowns and honor two fallen vietnam veterans.
