6/30/2014 (Updated 10:57:14 PM)Binghamton University Men's Soccer Coach Paul Marco spent a week in Brazil working with the National College Soccer Coaches' Association of America during the World Cup.
The Bearcats Head Coach analyzed games throughout the week, some in particular were USA-Ghana and Spain-Chile matches.
He brought over Baxter the Bearcat and the Mascot developed a huge fan base with the locals.
The Coach said he wouldn't think twice about going back and he actually wishes he was there tomorrow for the big game between USA and Belgium at 4 PM.
But the Experience he had meeting up with local fans and other American Coaches was a special time that he called a coaches dream.
"I Think perhaps that just the little role I got to play to help our country become a little better at soccer. The excitement and the passion that I feel daily I got to share with other people. This is my life! I am a lifer when it comes to soccer. So I can't see myself doing any other thing," said Paul Marco.
Coach stated this was a once in a lifetime experience as well and the last time the World Cup took place in Brazil was 50 years ago. So this may be his last chance seeing it in a city filled with dedicated soccer fans.
