Some area residents could be seeing help on their summer home improvement projects--and all thanks to volunteers from a local bank.
First Niagara Bank has partnered with "Rebuilding Together of Broome County" to assist the elderly, disabled, military veterans or members of a low-income family. Organizers say volunteers are not only working hard, but also having fun.
"Everyone's having a good time helping out and I think that says a lot for the character of the individuals and there's plenty of food and coffee that keeps them motivated," said Larry Harris, Vice President Area Sales Manager at First Niagara.
Volunteers spent today doing landscaping work and home repairs on Oak Hill Road in Binghamton.

No word yet on the future of baseball in Binghamton as a lawsuit between the Binghamton Mets and a group looking to buy the team in order to move it to Wilmington, Delaware has been settled.
