Saints ready for second straight title shot

As if winning the first ever State Title for any boys sport in school history a year ago wasn't impressive enough, the Seton Catholic Central Saints baseball team is ready to bring home number two.  Two wins away from their goal, the Saints are hard at work at practice preparing for the final weekend of the season.

While last year, the state semifinals and finals were uncharted territory the entire roster, this time around it's a walk in the park, at least for those returning.  For the newcomers, the nerves and the excitement are both starting to settle in, but the veteran returners are helping them keep the emotions in check.

Being that last year was in fact the first boys title in Seton's history, this year's team is, obviously, eager to repeat.  But for the four seniors, they hope to go out the best way possible, winning back-to-back titles and giving their school something to be proud of.

Seton plays Hoosic Valley in the State Semis on Saturday at 1:00 at Binghamton's Conlon Field.  Senior Captain Michael Korchak gets the start.
