The Binghamton Fire Department has saved its seventh life in the past two months by using the heroin overdose reversal medication--Narcan.
On Saturday a man in Binghamton's First Ward was found unresponsive and not breathing. The Narcan was administered and he was taken to Binghamton General Hospital. He's expected to make a full recovery.
The Fire Department has been carrying Narcan kits since April 1st. Binghamton Police have also started to carry the medicine. The Department purchased 25 kits and have been carrying them since early May.
