Running Wild For The Ross Park Zoo 5/24/2014 (Updated 11:04:48 PM)
Nearly 100 runners and walkers went wild at the Vestal Rail Trail today--all in support of the Ross Park Zoo.
Participants were encouraged to dress up like their favorite animals in support of the zoo. There were even some special zoo animals brought to the event. Organizers say this type of event provides yet another way for locals to get outside and support the programs at the zoo.
"It's been very fun. We're very fortunate to have people love the zoo and want to dress up and have fun with us," said Rachel Davenport, special events and media relations for the Ross Park Zoo.
The zoo is open 7 days a week from 10 to 5. All its upcoming events can be found on rossparkzoo.com.
