Local High School Hosts NASA Funded Scientist
4/24/2014 (Updated 10:55:34 PM)A local high school hosted a distinguished scientist from University at Albany who has been doing research funded by NASA.
Joe Delano presented his findings on astrobiology at Union Endicott High School this evening--where dozens of students attended his speech.
The goal of Delano's research is to find the origin of life and even discover life on other planets. He says he's excited about his findings, and even more excited to share his knowledge.
"This is great. It's one of the roles of instructors, teachers, professors, is to not only inform students, but to inspire them. And I'm hoping that some of the things we'll be talking about tonight will do both," said John Delano, Associate Dean at University of Albany.
Delano says the one thing he wants students to take away from his visit tonight is that they can do something inspirational and positive for the next generation.
