B-Mets washed out in series opener

BINGHAMTON, NY – Monday night’s contest between the Binghamton Mets and Erie SeaWolves has been postponed due to inclement weather. The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, June 14th with game one scheduled to start at 6:05 PM.

Fans with tickets to Monday’s game can redeem them for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any future 2014 B-Mets regular season home game excluding the contest on July 4th.

The postponement marks the second of the season for the B-Mets and third for SeaWolves. Binghamton experienced just one postponement in their first 66 games of last season.

Binghamton and Erie will look to open the rain-shortened series on Tuesday night with a single game starting at 6:35 PM. The B-Mets (2-2) will send RHP Greg Peavey to the mound against RHP Wilsen Palacios. The Horizons Federal Credit Union Pregame show begins at 6:20 PM.

Catch the future stars of the New York Mets all season long at NYSEG Stadium. Visit BMETS.COM, stop by the box office or call 723-METS for tickets.

Be sure to follow the B-Mets on Facebook, Twitter and at the team’s official website (www.bmets.com) for more team information. Fans can also stay up to date with all the action on the field by visiting “B-Mets Buzz with Tim Heiman” at bmets.mlblogs.com.
