Maine-Endwell holds "Battle of the Buildings"
3/20/2014 (Updated 10:51:22 PM)It's not the kids: It's the teachers at one local district who are playing games, racing around, and even laughing out loud:
That's what went on at Maine-Endwell Thursday night.
There were relay races involving balancing an egg on the end of a spoon, as well as hula hoop competitions between teachers and students.
It was to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis society.
Teachers say activities took them back to their days as children.
"I wish I had the speed and the energy and the endurance of a kid, but the little kid inside me had a lot of fun. It's such a great community activity and to see my peers, my co-workers, out having fun and running relay races like we did when we were kids. It's so much fun," said Kathie DeLuca, elementary teacher at Homer Brink.
The battling buildings included Maine-Endwell's Middle School, elementary schools, and high-school.
