Section IV swept out of semis in U-E and H'Ville losses

The Union-Endicott Tigers and Harpursville Hornets both saw their seasons come to an end in the NYSPHSAA Basketball Semi-Finals.
The Tigers lost to Jamestown 64-63, and the Hornets to Hoosic Falls 55-44.

Union-Endicott battled back from a six point halftime deficit to tie the game at 63 on an Osama Barwari layup, but on C.J. Krowiak's 5th personal foul, Zach Panebianco sealed the deal from the line converting the first of two free throws.  Off the missed second shot, Barwari drove the length of the court for a layup that missed, but on the foul he went to the line for a chance to win or at least tie.  Unfortunately, he came up just empty missing both free throws.

Krowiak led the Tigers with 30 points.  U-E finishes the season with a 17-5 record.

Fifty minutes south, the #1 ranked Harpursville Hornets were upset by #3 ranked Hoosic Valley.  The Indians took the lead 4:30 into the game and never looked backed.  The Hornets suffered their first loss of the season against 23 wins and fail to make a return to the state finals.  Miranda Drummond's final career game was a game-high 25 point, 11 rebound, five assist performance.
