Walnut Street Stand-off Update

Last night we brought you to 120 and 121 Walnut Street in Binghamton where Fox 40 got exclusive footage of three individuals brought out of the residence in handcuffs.
 
Binghamton police responded to the scene around 7 last night and told Fox 40 that five people had been arrested.

23 year old Josie Valdez of Binghamton was charged for an outstanding bench warrant.

20 year old Joel Valdes-Pica, of Binghamton was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of tampering with evidence.

36 year old Jennifer Gonzales-Soto, also of Binghamton, was charged with assault.

40 year old Wilfredo Pica-Torres of Johnson City was charged with two counts of assault, and  criminal possession of a weapon.

And finally, 27 year old Jeffrey Sanchez-Pica of Binghamton was charged with assault and obstructing governmental administration.

Police described the incident as a barricade situation, and the SWAT team and medical responders were called to the scene.

Police will continue releasing additional information over the next few days, and we'll have all those updates for you as they are available.
