Union-Endicott HS Students Get Career Advice From Visions Federal Credit Union
3/12/2014 (Updated 7:01:09 PM)Could a career in finance be in the future for some local high school students?
Ninth and tenth graders took a field trip to Visions Federal Credit Union to hear from financial advisers, SUNY representatives, and even the CEO of Visions, who says now is the time to reach out.
"This is just the best time to be involved with kids. They're at the formative stage where they're kind of picking a track. They're always going to kind of be nervous about what they're going to do. We just want to let them know that there's a career for them, there's a path for them," said Tyrone Muse, President and CEO of Visions Federal Credit Union.
"I've learned about your goals. You've got to set goals in life to achieve what you want. There might be a fork in the road, but you've just got to keep your options open and keep going," said Ben Bedowsky, tenth grader at Union Endicott High School.
Visions representatives say finance is a good career choice to explore because business in every industry has an economic aspect.
