The voting results for America East Fan Vote Player of the Year didn't go BU's way as Jordan Reed lost out to UMBC freshmen Rodney Elliot. Reed is averaging 15.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game this year for the Bearcats and just earned his 4th Conference Player of the Week, the most of any America East player.
But, after last year when Reed earned several Rookie of the Week's and Player of the Week's and still only earned a Third Team All-Conference nod, Head Coach Tommy Dempsey says he's worried Reed won't get the First Team Honors he deserves this year. As Dempsey says "there's no one on the league playing better than Jordan Reed."
BU opens the America East Tournament on Saturday against Hartford in Albany's SEFCU Arena.
