While the reigning America East Champion Binghamton Bearcats return the entire starting lineup top to bottom, the pitching staff will look a little different. Jake Lambert and Jay Lynch combined for 185.1 innings last year, but both graduated in May. That leaves Jack Rogalla to slide into the top spot in the rotation to shoulder the load.
In 15 starts in 2013 Rogalla went 5-5 with a 3.01 ERA, 55 strikeouts, 13 walks, and four complete games in 89.2 innings pitched. Head Coach Tim Sinicki says Rogalla will be joined in the starting rotation by junior righty Mike Urbanski and sophomore righty Jake Cryts.
The Bearcast begin their season on the road against Duke on February 14th.
