Are Local Residents Keeping Their New Years Resolutions?

Well we're three days into the new year which means it may be getting more difficult to keep your resolution... Fox 40 headed to the Oakdale Mall to find out how it's been going for local residents...

"Always be nice and kind is the best time to do it. And every year should be nicer and kinder," said Sam Abdelazim, who resolved to make those around him happy.

"It's going really well," said Lauren Welton, who resolved to spend more time on her family.

"I'm seasonal, so right now I'm not working. But when I get back to work in April it will be good," said Richard Tennant, who resolved to start his own business.

"It's going good since 3 days..." said Saima Tandi, who resolved to spend more time outside.

According to a study done by the University of Scranton, only about 8% of Americans who make resolutions say they they are successful throughout the year. Hopefully those people we talked to are not part of that statistic...
