Model Train Show Benefits Humane Society

The Owego Elks Emporium held a model train show Sunday. It was to raise money for the humane society.

There were dozens of model trains on display. Vistors could even buy trains and train parts. A vendor displaying hand made model buildings. They replicated cities. Volunteers say it's very important to support local animals..especially all those homeless during the cold months.

"Animals give us unconditional love and we all need that. No matter kitties or dogs, puppies, it makes us feel really warm inside and to see people come out to support us," said Robin Barron, Volunteer at humane society.

The organization is also holding BOGO books.. An event where you can purchase books at the humane society. All of the proceeds will benefit the animals.
