Delta Engineers Donates to "Be the Match" Marrow Donor Program
11/19/2013 (Updated 10:59:34 PM)Healthy lifestyle choices made by employees of one local company could benefit people through out the country.
Delta Engineers of Endwell donated one dollar for every mile its employees walked or ran during the month of October.
Each employee who walked or ran more than 10 miles during the challenge was able to nominate a charity of their choice.
"Be the Match" was the charity chosen, which is run by the National Marrow Donor Program.
"To save even more lives it just amplifies through the community and even the country because this donation could literally provide donors in California, Texas, Oregon, Maine so the whole country maybe even individuals around the world could benefit from this activity," said Account Executive from Be the Match Michael Garbin.
Delta Engineer employees collectively walked or ran 1,017 miles.
