Student at Binghamton University Help Provide Thanksgiving Meals

Students at Binghamton University are taking steps to ensure all families in the area have a special turkey dinner this Thanksgiving.

The Juvenile Urban Multi Cultural Program at BU is collecting turkeys, canned goods and monetary donations to help families in need. Their Annual Need-A-Turkey event will take place the Tuesday before Thanksgiving when members will collect the donations and give them out to families, soup kitchens and other organizations. Students involved say it's a great cause and a very rewarding experience.

"You don't know what you're doing until you actually get to realize, wow, these people are really exited. How many people actually come to these places to pick up turkeys who don't have the necessary  that they need to get the turkeys that they need and you see their faces and they're happy," said Ashley Desrosin, J.U.M.P member.

J.U.M.P hopes to raise enough money for 100 turkeys. To see how you can help email Jump.Nation@gmail.com
