Trio of Golden Bears sign NLIs

VESTAL -- A trio of Golden Bears made their college decisions official Thursday afternoon when they signed their National Letters of Intent.

Nick Wegmann, Patrick Carlin and Mike Osinski will all be joining Division I athletic programs, and made the decision to put pen to paper as a group.

Wegmann will stay close to home and play baseball at Binghamton University. A three-sport athlete at Vestal, Wegmann also plays football and basketball.

Patrick Carlin will not be too far up the road at Syracuse University. Carlin joins John Desko's prestigious lacrosse program. He also played on the Golden Bears football team.

The furthest traveler of the three is Mike Osinski, who will attend Longwood University in Virginia. Osinski, a football and baseball player, will play baseball in college.

At Thursday's ceremony, the three friends discussed what it means to sign together and how it feels to officially be ready for the next steps in their respective careers.
