Moreland Commission Requesting More Information
10/15/2013 (Updated 6:49:43 PM)The panel put together by the Governor and State Attorney General to investigate public corruption in Albany is putting pressure on legislative leaders to give up more information.
The panel says leaders of both the State Senate and Assembly have refused to cooperate. The commission announced it voted Tuesday to aggressively move forward in compelling production of information. The commission announced it will hold public hearings and issue it's first report on December 1.
A representative for Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo says her office has not been contacted by the commission. A request for comment from Senator Tom Libous' office has not yet been returned.
