The construction of a year long farmers market has been delayed in Otsiningo Park after archaeological materials were found.
The items found in the Broome County Park date back to both the prehistoric and historic periods. The county has received a grant from state parks and part will go towards the archaeological investigation.
They are currently in phase three of the investigation; recovery of data from the site to mitigate the impact of construction in the area.
Funding for the farmers market was first announced in 2011. It was projected to be complete next summer.
