It seems like just yesterday that the proverbial bomb dropped over Major League Baseball of 12 suspensions handed down in the wake of the Biogensis scandal.
While the headliner was, of course, the 211 game suspension of Yankees third basemen Alex Rodriguez, a few former and current B-Mets were involved as well.
It's been over a month, and former B-Met Jordany Valdespin's 50 game suspension has been served. He has been placed on the 40 Man Roster and assigned to AAA Las Vegas. As a result, Josh Edgin has been placed on the 60-Day DL to make room for Valdespin. No word as of Tuesday night, as to whether or not Valdespin will join the big club as a September call-up with under 10 games remaining in the season.
2013 B-Mets All-Star Outfielder Cesar Puello was also suspended for 50 games, the only minor leaguer to receive a suspension. He is due off the restricted list on Wednesday.
