ITHACA -- It was announced over the weekend that the Cornell Big Red lacrosse team's fall season was cancelled after a hazing incident. Details on the incident emerged Monday.
According to the school, freshmen members of the team were urged by upperclassmen to consume large amounts of beer in a competition against other team members. Multiple team members vomited as a result. All fall competitions have been cancelled as a result. The team will take part in anti-hazing education programs and the members negatively affected by the hazing will receive support.
