BU Basketball Conference schedules released

VESTAL, N.Y.The America East Conference has released its composite schedule for mens and womens conference basketball games for the upcoming season. The Bearcat men tip off conference play at Maine on Jan. 5 while the women open up at UMBC the previous day. Start times for all conference games have yet to be determined.

The 16-game schedule for each squad culminates with a Senior Day doubleheader at the Events Center on March 1. The women have a rematch against the Retrievers while the men meet Vermont.

The 2013-14 non-conference schedules were released last month. A Nov. 8 doubleheader at the Events Center will launch both Binghamton teams seasons. The women face Buffalo at 5:30 p.m. followed by the mens game against Loyola at 8 p.m.

The America East Conference Basketball Championships return to Albany for the second consecutive season. The first three rounds will be held March 6-9. The title games will be held the following weekend at the highest remaining seeds.
