Tioga Middle School was the host Saturday of a zumbathon charity event.
Dozens of people participated in the event in memory of Sergeant Justin Rogers of Tioga. Rogers lost his life in June at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. His father says he's happy to see everyone come together for his son.
"People have just been coming in, they're not even doing zumba and they're coming in and getting involved in the raffle and stuff. So I mean that pretty much says a lot," he said. Community is here, it's here. Tioga Center strong."
All proceeds from the day's event will go to the Justin Rogers Athletic Sports Scholarship Fund.
