Hundreds Remember Young Girl

Hundreds of people gathered in Owego Sunday to remember a young girl who lost her life last May.

Three year old Allie Oney was tragically killed last year but her memory lives on. The First Annual Allies Angels Ride took place at Hickory Park.

The event featured a 5k run/walk, a 25 mile bicycle ride and a 100 mile motorcycle ride to where Allie was killed. Allie's mom says it's comforting to see the community come together for her daughter.
"It's amazing all the people that came out to support us today,"she said. "It's really helpful and really appealing for me. We had at least 30 community sponsors that donated money and products and their support and it's really been a great day."

The event also had food, raffles live music and face painting. All proceeds will go to  underprivileged children of the Southern Tier.
