Binghamton University President Excited for Obama's Visit

As you can imagine one man more than excited for the President's visit on Friday is Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger.

Stenger spoke with the President of the University of Buffalo about the President's plans on tuition and student debt, and how some students are discouraged from going to college because of the costs.

President Stenger notes that Binghamton University graduates have with an average of $21,000 to $22,000 dollars in debt, lower than the national average of $26,000 the president cited Thursday in Buffalo.

"This helps us immensely on the national stage. Not only the choice of Binghamton University but the choice of the topic to talk about here. The choice of the format even, that tomorrow is a town hall format where he's going to take questions from the students," said Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger.

President Stenger says that if he's given the chance he would ask the President if there is anything that the university could do to help implement some of his ideas.
