An Endicott man is under arrest after police say he led them on a chase that reached speeds of 115 miles per hour.
Police say 47-year-old Thomas McAvoy was driving 81 in a 55 zone on Route 17 in the Town of Union on Saturday, then accelerated when police approached. Police say McAvoy stopped after leaving the highway with a top speed of approximately 115 mph.
He faces charges of the unlawful fleeing a police officer and the unlawful possession of marijuana.
