Endicott Man Facing Charges After Assaulting Officer

An Endicott man is arrested after assaulting a police officer following a domestic dispute.
Police responded to the home of John Cheeseboro, 20, on Madison Avenue in Endicott regarding a mother/son dispute. After officers arrived, Cheeseboro continued to be disorderly despite several warnings. He then began to physically fight with the officer, striking him multiple times.
A concerned citizen aided the officers in making the arrest. Cheeseboro is facing multiple charges including 2nd degree assault, a felony.
He was arraigned and is now in the Broome County Jail.
Person Hit By Train In Endwell
Just after 6 o'clock this evening, reports of a person being hit by a train in Endwell came over the scanner.
According to Broome County Dispatch, New York State Police are on the scene in the area of Avenue B, behind the McDonald's.
