Fatal Vision Goggles Help Students See Dangers of Drunk Driving
5/31/2013 (Updated 7:08:55 PM)Fatal Vision Goggles gave Maine-Endwell students a new perspective on the dangers of drinking and driving.
The goggles help simulate the effects drugs and alcohol have on the ability to drive.
And to show the dangers of distracted driving, students took a challenge which made them to place items in order by shape and color, count backwards from one hundred, all while wearing headphones.
"If I could warn them it would mainly be for them to just be responsible and try to avoid being behind the wheel or lead to anything that would take them down the wrong path," said Maine Endwell student, Lawrence Gulliver.
"Using these types of games and simulation devices is a lot more interactive and encourages them to participate," said Stop DWI Coordinator, Chris Marion.
The lesson is especially important this time of year in the midst of prom and graduation season.
