In the midst of prom season, students are to raise the awareness on drunk and distracted driving.
Liberty Mutual has provided Vestal High School students with a crashed vehicle to be on display for the next week. Members of students against drunk driving are using social media like Facebook and Twitter to spread the message to other students.
"A lot of seniors are going away to college, and they're going to want to go out with a bang, and they're going to have fun. But it's very important that they stay safe and make good decisions because one bad decision while driving could cost you your life along with the lives of others," said Christopher Valentine.
The next couple of weeks Vestal High School will hold other safety related events including an "Eyes Wide Forward" campaign, and the school's after prom party.
