NEW YORK -- As if Mark Sanchez, Greg McElroy and maybe Tim Tebow isn't enough, the Jets have a new face in the mix at quarterback.
The team announced Monday that it signed NFL veteran David Garrard. The QB spent eight years with the Jacksonville Jaguars but has not taken a snap the past two seasons.
Garrard has had a solid career, including a trip to the Pro Bowl as an alternate in 2010 but back and knee injuries have hurt his chances to make NFL rosters in the last two years.
